ARTECH CNC COMPANY Completes Packaging of Milling Robot Arms for Shipment to New Zealand

Recently, a busy scene unfolded at the logistics and warehousing center of ARTECH CNC COMPANY – staff were carefully conducting professional packaging for a batch of Milling Robot Arms. This equipment will be shipped by sea to Auckland, New Zealand, and delivered to a well-known local high-end manufacturing enterprise for the upgrade of its precision mold processing production line. This marks the company’s 5th batch of core milling robot components exported to Oceania this year, signifying a further increase in the recognition of its products in the high-end manufacturing market of the Southern Hemisphere.
At the packaging site, the reporter observed that each Milling Robot Arm was first fixed in a customized foam mold, then wrapped in multiple layers of anti-static protective film, and finally enclosed in a thickened galvanized steel box. The inner wall of the steel box was also lined with buffer cotton and moisture-proof packs, providing all-round protection against the impact of vibration and humidity changes during transportation on the equipment’s precision. “This batch of milling robot arms is equipped with our independently developed high-precision harmonic reducers, with a repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.02 mm, which can meet the strict requirements of the New Zealand customer for mold processing surface roughness below Ra0.8μm,” said Engineer Wang, the supervisor of the Technical Quality Inspection Department, holding a test report. “Before shipment, we have completed a 72-hour continuous operation test, load capacity test, and environmental adaptability simulation to ensure that the equipment can be directly put into production line commissioning upon arrival.”
It is understood that the New Zealand customer for this cooperation is a leading enterprise in the local aerospace components and automotive mold sector. In the second half of last year, the customer established contact with ARTECH CNC COMPANY through an international industrial exhibition. After multiple rounds of technical communication and sample testing, a purchase order for 12 Milling Robot Arms was finally confirmed, with a contract value of approximately 8 million RMB. “The customer attaches great importance to the durability of the equipment and the responsiveness of after-sales service. We not only provide 2 years of free maintenance but also set up an English-speaking technical support team, which can assist the customer in solving commissioning problems in real time through a remote operation and maintenance system,” said Ms. Zhang, the Manager of the International Trade Department. To align with the customer’s production line upgrade schedule, the company shortened the original 45-day production cycle to 30 days to ensure on-time delivery.
To ensure the smooth progress of cross-border transportation, the company collaborated with professional international logistics service providers to develop a special plan: considering that each Milling Robot Arm weighs approximately 500 kg, 40-foot high-cube containers are used for batch loading, with each container equipped with cargo fixing brackets and center-of-gravity balancing devices. Meanwhile, detailed installation manuals, spare parts lists, and calibration toolkits are included with the shipment. Engineers have also been arranged to communicate with the New Zealand customer in advance and will provide 3 days of on-site installation guidance after the equipment arrives at the port. “We have also purchased full cargo insurance for this batch of equipment, covering the entire process from factory delivery to acceptance at the customer’s workshop, minimizing the customer’s procurement risks,” added the person in charge of the Logistics Department.
Notably, the design of this batch of Milling Robot Arms is fully adapted to the existing production system of the New Zealand customer – the equipment interface adopts the internationally universal PROFINET protocol, which can be directly compatible with the customer’s existing Siemens PLC control system without the need for additional hardware modifications. At the same time, in response to New Zealand’s local 50Hz power supply frequency and temperate maritime climate characteristics, the R&D team has made special optimizations to the equipment’s power module and heat dissipation system to ensure operational stability. “The customer feedback indicates that after introducing our milling robot arms, the mold processing efficiency is expected to increase by 40% and labor costs to decrease by 30%, which is also the core advantage of our products in the international market competition,” said Manager Zhang.
Currently, this batch of packaged Milling Robot Arms has passed customs inspection and is expected to arrive at the Port of Auckland, New Zealand, in 18 days. “Next, we will discuss long-term cooperation plans with the New Zealand customer, including plans to establish a spare parts warehouse locally to further shorten the after-sales response time,” said the person in charge of ARTECH CNC COMPANY. He added that the company will continue to strengthen its efforts in exploring overseas markets in the future, focusing on the layout of high-end manufacturing sectors in Southeast Asia, Europe, and Oceania, and promoting domestic core components of milling robots to a broader international stage.
